Every wizard had their spell book. Written lovingly over their education. Largely they spoke the same language, at least for the most part. There were those more invested in say, specific spells to raise a lot of capital, but those wizards generally weren't well respected by their peers. Some particularly powerful mages craft their own languages, though these are few and far between. To most other wizards, their spell book were filled with the comfortable. Small, everyday spells, that made their lives slightly easier, and a lot more magical. We're all creatures of comfort after all.
