Recently at $DAY_JOB, I've had the pleasure of implementing Temporal workflows for some of our backend workflows, and it blew me away. I have not been this delighted by software in a long time. "Durable Objects" are magical. Their website isn't lying, and you have to see it to believe it. Workflows that save their state, and can be restored at any point are so fundamentally foreign to everything computer science has built that it rewired my brain a little.
Network outage? Not your problem. Hardware crash? Not your problem. You wrote shitty code that executes after 50 minutes of execution? Not a problem.
